Description
A five-movement, free atonal work for the virtuoso performer, ideal for the soloist looking for a contemporary piece for their next recital. It not only shows off the performer’s technique but also displays traditional interpretive depth through the variety of each movement. Tempos and “feel” change and range from intense and driving to introspective through the use of glissandi and a sense of gamboling along, as if hopping between steppingstones, in the third movement.
This is a piece that will keep the audience listening with its changing moods and atmosphere, each movement emerging, inviting listeners to follow its wandering path through a landscape of sound.
