Description

Originally written by Lew Pollack in 1914 and arranged by William G. Rose, That’s a Plenty is a “burner” – a fast piece in New Orleans style, appropriate for the opening or closing of a typical brass quintet concert. This arrangement features each member of the quintet, has written jazz solos in the Trumpet 1 and Trombone parts, and chord changes are included for performers to perform improvised solos in those sections if they desire. Also included is an optional Piccolo Trumpet part (to sub for Trumpet 1).

The arrangement is dedicated to Dr. Michael Ewald, and the solo in the Trumpet 1 part was written for him as well.
